Hello! My name is Brendan King. I am from the United States of America. I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I went to the University of San Francisco and graduated in 2002 with a BA in Communications. I moved to Japan when I was just twenty-two years old. I worked for the Kakamigahara City Board of Education for my first nine years in Japan. I was an ALT and taught mostly in Elementary and Junior High Schools. After that I took a job as an English Teacher at a kindergarten in Minokamo City. It was there where I was first introduced to the PLS curriculum and through my experiences at that kindergarten I decided that I would like to open my own school. I am very grateful for the opportunity to have opened Honey Bee English School here at Hanazono Kindergarten and I am looking forward to seeing you all here.
Based on my experiences teaching children English in Japan I believe that the PLS system is very well suited for young Japanese learners. I hope that we can enjoy the journey of learning together and that you enjoy your time here at Honey Bee English School.
